I honestly would rank this as one if not the biggest win for mexico boxing. Pacquiao was long considered p4p 1 and p4p 2 his only struggle was fighting against Marquez. He beat Bradley in almost everyones eyes and his only blemishes were Marquez.. I still consider Marquez beating the P4P 2 fighter but his popularity in the boxing game (pacs) makes me believe this is the biggest win for mexico.

Tough call, Chavez KO'ing Taylor in the 12Th was equally if not more dramatic, only because Chavez had not knocked Taylor down in the fight. In this fight Pac was getting damaged throughout the fight and had already been down. Now with that being said, be sure that this now is in the top 5 Mexican victories and Marquez's status in Mexican boxing history will be elevated now to one of the ATG's.
    The key is Self-discipline.

I don't know how the KO should be rated in Mexico but Marquez is going to be very popular for a long time.
I live in Los Angeles which has a huge Mexican population and everywhere I went today I heard everyone talking about that KO.
There are a lot Mexican fighters that are both proud and envious of Marquez today!
Let's not forget the other guy in that fight, the hard charging, flying fisted, fierce hearted PacMan.

The biggest? Perhaps not but definitely one of the most satisfying.

A big win for Mexican boxing no doubt. Other ones that are just as big for Mexican boxing.

    - Salvador Sanchez over Gomez
    - MAB over Hamed
