    Default Rios should quit.

    The guy is killing himself.

He is a punchbag and he enjoys it.

Even if he gives it up. The damage is already done.

Anyone know want to throw some information on the damage each punch does to these guys and the major illnesses boxers develop?

    Cheers.

There is no draft in boxing and these guys and gals know the risk when they step in the ring. This is a gladiator sport not checkers and who are we to decide when a person should call it quits in their chosen profession. People lose their lives everyday from walking across a street or defending their lives from scumbags. Fight on Rios fight on

I agree, until they start showing the the damage through slurred speech or eradicate behavior. I don't think Rios is there yet.
He had his ass totally kicked by a great fighter, but I don't think he should be ashamed or think about quitting. Manny has made some other top fighters look worse, in my opinion.

Rios is still fun to watch when he is fighting someone at his level but it does look like he is punch drunk. I don't see him quitting anytime soon, even when it is time to do so. I hope he is getting a full work up from a neurologist. I don't know if he should retire now but he seems a bit more off than most active boxers.

Rios is very, very stupid to begin with, it's easy to get carried away here. He may have had significant brain damage before he ever had a professional fight, could be he's a crack baby.

I think Rios would actually be a better person if he were a vegetable, at least he'd keep a few home care nurses gainfully employed.

I'm OK with Rios continuing, I think he needs a confidence building fight or two before stepping back in against another top guy.

No he is not. He's not the most skilled fighter. But he'll keep coming forward. There's no Cotto in him. He won't spend the last 5 rounds backing up, praying his corner throws in the towel before quitting.
