I'm interested, it will be an all action fight with Jr almost certainly getting beat up down the stretch, couldn't be a bad watch.
Of course DeGale is way more dangerous, but Froch would make more money fighting JR so it's a no brainer for him. Since he wants to fight in Vegas it's about the only guy he could sell a fight with there to boot, unfortunately.
to be fair, Froch has earnt the right to do what he wants, but I couldn't really give a fuck.
what baffles me is if Froch has to give up his title to fight Chavez , how is the fight gonna be worth any money? It's already pretty clear that Froch isn't that highly rated in the US, otherwise they would be begging him to fight guys over there.
I believe Froch when he says he can't get motivated for Degale, but I do think he rates himself and his "Legacy" way too high. it's a pretty shit division if someone like Chavez (who was found out at the rate below and only moved up because he can't dedicate himself enough.) can be seen as a top contender. Furthermore, the guy who EVERYBODY agrees is the best in the division is basically semi-retired.
Froch will fight Kessler in a meaningless "Masters" Circus type of fight which will be akin to Rocky 6!
btw, Kessler used to be my favourite fighter, but he's pissed me off as well lately, virtually begging Froch and Ward for a fight when he's not been in a ring for 18 months , and the last fight he had , he looked finished.
They charge you guys quite a bit less a pop for PPVs, which still brings in a lot more than the gate even with that many in attendance. Was Froch's first fight with Groves PPV, and any idea how many it sold if so?
For example, Chavez Jr-Martinez did about exactly half the buys Froch-Groves 2 did, which still equals close to the same PPV revenue. There is no way fighting DeGale would be anywhere near as big as the Groves rematch, right?
Froch has two titles.
If he's not big in the US then how come every fighter from middle to Light Heavy call him out all the time? Of course he's not a "superstar" over there but that's because his main audience lies in Britain. At the moment, he's the money at supermiddle.
I'd prefer to see him face Chavez jr.
I'm not that interested in the DeGale fight. Let DeGale fight for the vacant title and establish his own legacy, set up a big rematch with Groves, Callum Smith etc
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
