He was extremely out of shape prior to the Maidana fight when he was on that rap tour. By the time the fight came around he looked good but the results weren't for him. That was at the Colts/Bengals game last weekend. I suppose if he can still cut the weight its no big deal but that kind of weight stripping to fight once a year has got to be killer on the body and soul. Tito used to balloon to over 180 when he jousted at 147 and what did Hatton get to in between fights, 200. There is no doubt in my mind that it shortened Ricky's career by years.
