That also means it's been 8 years since Diego died...

Leaves a bad taste in my mouth that Diego cheated by spitting his gum shield out to buy some time.

As did Roberto Duran smashing Ken Buchannan's nuts and Dempsey hitting Sharkey on the break.....it happens, it was still a great fight

Yea wow, that's kinda depressing it's been that long. I also agree Castillo should have won that fight. You have 10 seconds to recover from a knockdown, Corrales got(and badly needed) way more than that in back to back instances! Has anyone ever seen a similar ending to a fight? The fact that Chico was still able to land that right and turn the fight on its head was amazing viewing, but it was a screw job imo. Still would have been an ATG fight without that ending, there was incredible ebb and flow the whole way through.

Unless you believe he should be disqualified, I will have to say that it was a brilliant idea. He got penalized by a point. He didn't care because he's not gonna win by points anyway. He wasn't looking for an easy way out. It's maximizing the rules to the stretch. Same with taking an intentional knee as many as you want to recover. You lose a point but you don't care. Will only be a shameful act if a fighter does something to get the fight stopped, saying he's unable to continue because of a cut or low blow, but the intent is to run away with a win, because they are ahead and the opponent is rallying strong.
