    Default Castillo vs. Corrales I

Alright guys..this is 12:10 am on sunday night I I gotta wake up in 6 hours and I've been drinking like a mutha.

So Maybe this is why I feel like bringing up Castillo vs Corrales I.

What a f*cking fight. I love these men in a non-homosexual way. But I do love them by any means for what they did that night. I mean...I've watched this fight over 10+ times which is a lot for me and I still can't help but get excited for what these men of MEN brought inside the ring that night. Now, that stoppage was completely warrented imo; because althouhgh Castillo was romping the help out of Corrales and knocked him down twice corrales busted him real bad and it was needed.

Though many feel it's a shame that the 3rd fight never occured..you know what I say? What the hell! These guys let it ALL out and they deserved to be praised for what they did.

I don't criticize Castillo for not making weight for the 3rd bout. Yeah, I would have loved to f*cking see it but you know what...how many times do you see two people put it all out there like they did? Castillo is a warrior as is Corrales and they will both go down in time as such...f*ck the rubber match.. Castillo-Corrales I Is a fight that needs to be remembered no matter what. I worship these muthas for what they did and nothing but respect for both of them even if they screw chickens from here on...

    **Please no sc's for this!

Your just speaking your heart and thats great that watching that fight does that for you I know exactly how you feel. I was there that night so I can relate to what your saying about them leaving it all in that ring that night. I remember as Castillo walked passed me in ringside and I snaped this picture I tought to myslef breath it all in enjoy this enjoy watching him walk out of the ring, enjoy Chico raising his hands and lifting the belt cuz this is once in a lifetime moments and I know I probably wont ever again witness something as savaging but yet so glorious as I did that night.

Cutme, a part of me is JEALOUS you got to be at that fight! What an experience that must have been! I loved seeing winky and toney in the background standing and yelling..even they were completely absorbed in it. Glad you posted a pic of it...great job man and Im happy you got to be there to experience it. I'l rememer to CC you everytime I log in and karma doesnt prevent me from it

That bout really was something though. I feel kinda dumb bringing it up long enough after it happened to be considered "old" yet short enough to be considered a "classic" but that's what it was..Mucho respect to you hombre! Can't believe you were there...must of been one of your best experiences at ringside ever?

**well cutme, I guess I already cc'd you today becaue karma wont let me do it agian! Now if only you cut down on that Margarito love I could cc you alot more

I tell 'ya dasaam that whole experience was something else, I mean the tickets where given to me by some 'red neck' (A good friend of mine who had just retired 1 month prior to the fight and settled in Vegas) he won the tickets on a radio station and called me friday at noon and in his Oklahoman accent he tells me 'Somabitch I just got a phone call they tells me I won these tickets to some fight out here these 2 little Mexicans fighting or somep' in' (hes a casual boxing fan) he tells me you want the tickets? I was like who is it? Don't tell me you won tickets to Castillo-Corrales he was like "Hell I dunno" do you want them or not? I was like yeah!! yeah! I want them. He calls me about 2 hrs. later 'Hey somabitch I went to pick up the tickets it is for Castilo-Corrals thats how he pronounced the names. I was like no fwocken way.....

Anyway.... Thanks for the CC's No need to feel dumb about bringing it up shet! thats the beauty of this sport its brutal yet so many emotions are involved.

As a matter a fact it is the best fight I have ever attended and like I said I don't I'll ever witness something like that again.

About Margarito thats the beauty about this forum we can be all cheers and cc's in one thread but on different ends in another. Just the other night with frozensolid702 in a Mayweather-ODLH thread we dished it out yet he created a new thread where I agreed with him and CC'ed him for the news on Taylor-Winky.
Thats just the way it goes here in the end it's all in good spirit.

I love Goosen after the second knockdown:

I think the whole fight is still on youtube, don't even need to download it that's how I first saw it... The 8th round has to be one of the best rounds ever..

Corrales-Castillio 1 without question will go down as one of the greatest fights ever---It ranks up there with...Hagler/Hearns..Ali/Frazier 1 and the Ward Gatti trilogy

Yep it was definitely one of the greatest slugfests I've ever seen. The final round was just absolute mayhem. Although I think Coralles may have 'cheated' a little by repeatedly spitting out his gumshield, Castillo's cheating behaviour by not even bothering to make weight for the following two fights more than made up for it.

In one way I'm glad there was no third fight because I'm a huge fan of Coralles and I really couldn't see him winning against Castillo.

I think if the pair of them fought 10 time Coralles would be lucky to win twice, but he's a lion and I was cheering at the tv when he knocked Castillo out!

Humberto 'La Chiquita' Gonzalez vs. Michael 'Little Hands of Stone' Carbajal I

What a fight I remember watching this fight when I was 12 my jaw hit the floor, when the fight was over my uncle got up from the floor cuz thats where he always sat on fight nights hit the rewind button and we watched it over.
