Default Boxers Who Put Together An Intense Training Program Before A Bout

~ Boxers who put together an 'intense' Training Program before a Bout ~

    Wilfred Benitez

Before facing Roberto Duran, Wilfred sparred an incredible 240-Rounds during a
    3-Week stretch.

Wilfred may have been in his 'finest ever' condition for a Championship Bout.

The 'word' was, that the Duran Camp Associates saw Wilfred in training camp and sparring,
then took their money and 'bet' on Wilfred.

Maybe all that sparring is why his brain turned to mush though.

Wilfred should have put that much effort when he fought Leonard.

    Roberto Duran

After losing to Wilfred Benitez in January 1982.

Said that Wilfred would be 'even' with Ray Leonard at Light-Middleweight if they fought.

    Roberto Duran >
"It would be a good fight. I would like to see that happen this year. Wilfred is much
stronger now than he was 2 1/2 years ago."

"I would be a 'close fight'. Very close."
