    Question Handwraps/Can you wash them?

Okay i got some bigger cotton handwraps, but they dont go on as like.. tight as my other ones, they feel loose when wrapped, i liked my smaller pair, are you able to wash them in the washer and drier, or should i wash them in the sink and then let them air dry?

I never washed mine. Used them until they wore out, spent $3 on another pair. (Maybe $6 now?)

Call me a clean freak, but I believe in washing, wiping, spraying and wiping down ever piece of equipment you come into contact with. The inside of gloves and wraps can become breeding places for all kinds of nasty rashes, bumps, and itching. You get someone carrying something and it gets on his gloves, then he hits on a bag--next guy comes along and it gets on his glove and maybe to the face of someone while sparring. I picked up a rash in the gym a few years ago. that caused spots on my hands that itched like crazy. Even the doctor could not pin point what it was, and went through two different creams to get it knocked down. I am convinced I picked it up either holding a heavy bag for someone, or helping someone with their gloves and wraps. I was lucky I did not touch my face or have open cuts.

Best way i have found to wash hand wraps:

    1. Wash in a regular load of clothes
    2. While wet flatten in-between fingers
    3. Hang Dry (DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER)
    4. Once Dry roll them back up to keep a good shape

I am extremely focused on the cleanliness and condition of my boxing equipment. Have a little pride!

To lengthen the time in between washing, if you hang dry them after practice and do a quick spray of lysol then roll them up when they dry... you will have to wash them less and less.

I know, i'm a bit anal on my cleanliness, but it works.
