Gilberto sanchez looked pretty good in his sparring session with Canelo. He has fast hands, appeared to be taller than Canelo and was cutting off the ring effectively.

Hopefully we see him around soon.
    The key is Self-discipline.

Cheers for sharing the link buddy, we spent a lot of time doing the research for that and every other article on the site.

Ramirez-Sanchez is ranked #11 by the WBC so expect him to end up fighting for WBC based titles until Chavez moves up or Martinez retires.

Anyone know what Jorge Cota's team are thinking of throwing him in with Marco Antonio Rubio?

Nice to see Oscar Cortes is in what looks to be an interesting bout in a week or so.

Big win by Juan Francisco Estrada last week end (a VERY under-rated win over Diale)

Horacio Garcia v Alexis Santiago should be a very interesting bout and by far the toughest bout of Garcia's career so far.

Miguel Berchelt v Sergio Lopez is a good step up for Berchelt.

All in all an interesting few weeks for young Mexicans. Is there anyone else you pick out for us to watch out for Boxing Prospect?

Cota's team is expecting him to do to Rubio what he did to Yory Boy. I don't think he'll brutalize Rubio in the same fashion but I expect him to take the win

Can't see it my self, I'd imagine Rubio will do what he did to Lemieux.

Prospects with talent don't mean nothing when they don't get pushed by famous promotors. Sad for the sport, good for greedy companies. 'nuff said.

Personally I think that us (as boxing fans) need to get behind the talented youngsters and try to "force the hand" of the promoters. Though TBH a lot of them do on to do things of note, especially the Mexican ones who regularly get some sort of backing from someone like Zanfer.

Cota has more heart than Lemieux. If he loses I see him going out on his shield

What you mean would be a low-budget underground-scene. All the rest is just capitalist opera.

What I mean is if the fans voted with their cash the promoters would listen. If we keep buying garbage the promoters will take us for a ride. If the wider boxing public knew about the top talents then they talk about them and if we talk enough about them the promoters will listen...hopefully anyway.

Both men stopped (TKO) in round 7. Cota should never have been in that fight, I hope he manages to get some better guidance as that could well end up with him suffering the same mental scarring that has plagued Lemieux.
