Totally disagree with this. People insist on putting the "no power" label on Cunningham. He got in a beautiful shot on Fury. Give Fury credit for getting back up. Cunningham staggered him again later on. It was a short, powerful right hand delivered right on the sweet spot. Fury staggered, but fought on.

It's easy and a copout to say Cunningham has no power when he's fighting a 6'-9" behemoth.

That being said, Fury loses to a host of other HW contenders out there. Too raw and unpolished.

Fury has boxed well in other fights. To give credit to Ross, this seemed a little bit like Fury was trying to force his size and strength on Cunningham so much that he forgot his boxing. I thought this was a good, solid win for Fury. Because of his size, he'll always be a threat. If Arreola gets by Stiverne, I actually would be genuinely intrigued by an Arreola-Fury match-up. It can't be ignored that twice Fury has been put to the mat by guys not known as punchers. Wladimir and Haye don't have great chins, but in their defense, they are better boxers than Fury.

Tyson Fury fought recklessly but he has shown he can be disciplined and box when he wants to and as he did with Johnson. Fury would not use the same tactics against Haye, he would use his height and reach advantage and slowly bust up Haye and stop him. Tyson got carried away with his emotions against Steve and it was a learning experience for him which he will use to ensure he wins a world title.

Oh look TitoFan has disagreed with me.....

Steve Cunningham 25 wins 12 KO's for a KO% of 38.71%. Yes Cunningham is without a doubt the Bob Foster of his era

Tyson Fury CAN box, he's just too fucking stupid to take advantage of his natural gifts. You let him have a little trouble finding someone and he won't have an answer. Let him get counter punched a few times and he won't make any corrections and vs a true heavyweight with Steve Cunningham power that is apparently dangerous, vs an even bigger puncher if those exist it's going to leave Tyson with a loss by KO....wait and see.

It is easy to do this when there is nothing coming back. Johnson's whole act is attempting to win rounds by avoiding punches, but he doesn't throw them back. Tor Hamer looked great boxing Kevin Johnson for fucks sake. How is it that Fury's supporters can't see that he is avoiding punchers because they know he'll get knocked out. I still say David Price would flatten him. There is a reason he vacated the British title to fight Martin Rogan. Cunningham highlighted it once again.

Its unbelievable really...if Michael Grant fought Tyson Fury, it would be a close fight! Shannon Briggs would STILL BEAT Tyson Fury....Tyson Fury is a big dumb oaf and he's going to end up having his lights put out very soon.

I agree! Fury has to stay behind his jab more, losing focus or rushing in without the jab is a big no-no with the big punchers.
Fury has to stop using the forearm. If he fights in the US anymore, his forearm will get a lot of attention.
I'm still not sold on Wilder, but he seems to be taking bigger baby steps with Audley.

Sad state the heavy division is in when he's in the top ten, piss poor fighter who wouldn't have been anywhere near the top ten in the 90's.

A light punching blown up cruiser puts him on his arse, put him in with Wlad or Vit now & get it over with. Haye would give him a good chinning also but the rest of this division is sub par at best imo.

At the same stage of his career Ali had been dropped by Sonny Banks 191lb and Henry Cooper 185lb Then even when he had won the title he was dropped by Joe Frazier 205lb

All smaller men than Cunningham. Does this make Alis chin shit? In fact had the little bitches from here been around back then what would you have said about Cassius Clay, knocked down by 2 small men and getting a gift decision against Doug Jones?

Unlike Tyson Fury, Ali learned from his mistakes and added depth to his style....Tyson Fury is just a big dumb oaf of a fighter and a true boxer will hammer the dog shit out of him.

You guys have never reall SEEN Jennings fight. Sure, he doesn't have bone-crushing power. But he can take a punch- more than what Fury can dish out. Plus, and a BIG PLUS, he can throw punches in bunches and move all night- he has more stamina than Cunningham ever could have.

Fury won't get close to Jennings. And by the time Jennings swarms him and moves away, Fury may get in one good shot out of the 3-5 he may try to throw. But it won't be enough sustained pressure to back Jennings down.

Jennings will beat Fury in a lop-sided decision if they ever fought. Mark my word!

I want to see Jennings fight a guy that is significantly bigger than he is. Jennings has fast hands, decent pop, and he boxes well plus he's light on his feet so he's harder to find than most heavyweights. Fury seems to be like a baby Great Dane, he's just gangly and goofy and one of these days he'll walk himself into a situation where only bad things will happen to him. Guys like Fury should be more methodical in their approach......Manny Steward could have really helped him, but now I don't think anyone can.

So you are equating Tyson Fury with Muhammad Ali? That's really a fucked up viewpoint. I wasn't born when Clay/Ali was fighting in the 60's & this is one thing I will not do, try to predict history. I don't even do top 10 lists, h2h or p4p debates as they are fucking pointless (used to, but just waste's time that could be spent doing proper things, so don't now) but each to their own.

I'm not a fan of Fury although he's improve some from his early days but most fighters do. I don't know if you are from UK (I am) or elsewhere but I've seen enough of him over numerous fights to know he's a piss poor fighter who's taken his size & reasonable power to get by in a era when the heavyweights are dire.

Cunningham was decent cruiser but can you really say he has genuine heavyweight power, not for me. Fury has been rocked numerous times but his gangly size seems to get him by. Like I stated I would get him in with the Klit Bros or Haye & show him for what he is a hype job. Anyone decent with genuine power will beat him inside the distance.

I will say one thing, although he is awful he can be entertaining in fights in freak show way. That's just my take, maybe I'll be proved wrong but I doubt it.

If Valuev unretired I think that would be a freak show fight and almost a 50-50 match too. I'd pick Fury by TKO 8.

Jennings has a reasonable chance to stop Fury. Huck could give Fury Hell as could Adamek.

    Haye should fight him!
