I'd have to say Mares. I always like the kid, he always shows heart. Can't wait to see him back in against Gonzales.

I'm still kissed off about Bradley and Herrera score cards. Both those guys got screwed. I guess Bradley can't complain as he has received a lot of gifts along the way. On a side note, Bradley should not move up to 154, I don't think it would be good for his health.

I'd have to agree with Mares.

-Bradley was supposed to outbox his opponent and even though the scorecards were bizarre, Bradley didn't look all that special.

- With Lee having a knack for landing those Hail Mary punches, it's impressive but you have to wonder how many times that will save his a$$ and pull him out of the fire.

- Thurman was a snoozer for all his talk.

-I was excited about the Khan/ Alexander fight to see if Khan had sharpened his skills further, but I think he kind of regressed actually and lost some of the footwork he used against Collazo. He went back to jousting and you could see how Alexander would sidestep him, hook him and spin him. Midway through the fight though you could see how Alexander just gave up and accepted his role as a sparring partner and I actually nodded off for a little bit after that as Khan coasted to victory.

Mares and Lee really seemed like the only two fighters of the night that were willing to go balls to the wall. It just looked more applied in Mares' case.

Manny had a great career with massive flaws but he bounced back from them.

I am correct that if manny changed trainers he would have learnt alot more defence etc but the world thinks freddie is a god so it will or would never happen.

I can't say that Freddy was wrong for Khan or Pacquiao. In fact, these two fighters demonstrate the differences in what a good trainer can do for you if you listen or if you don't. If you work hard and you listen to your trainer and you discuss the decisions that can affect your training with them, you guys can be on the same page and eliminate the small things that can take your focus off the fight. You can build a strong foundation and begin training before or even when he isn't there.

You can complain that you're not getting enough time and attention and that a trainer is not helping you, and then completely ignore his advice in the middle of a fight and decide to trade with somebody who's already turned your legs into jelly instead of boxing, clinching or using your range.

Some trainers will hold your hand, and do the baby steps thing with you. Others ask you to realize you chose to train with them for a reason and accept the advice they give you, so they can mold you. You cant be half in it and half out of it. If you want to take only part of my advice and be half my fighter and half your own fighter, well one of our halves is gonna lose and take the other half with it. I get paid either way, but if success and legacy is what you're after, you have to commit to the plan and believe in your trainer.

Cotto, also seemed to get better under Freddy. Provodnikov is prone to resorting to swinging away sometimes but at least he's not fighting on ESPN anymore. Chavez only does what he wants. You take away from it what you can.. Some trainers may not fit some fighters, but you have to subscribe to the plan before you say it doesn't work.

I think Trout was the last guy (Cuban trainer) - Rodriguez and Martinez, were under Freddy's watch. Granted Matchmaking can factor into those 2 fights, but Cotto seems to fight smarter at least.
