    Default Fury and PEDS...

What is the story with his actual ban etc..what was actually confirmed?

Regardless of what Fury has achieved I think we need some more clarification on what he was actually banned for as that will obviously put him in the same bracket as Canelo..

As much as I like Fury and see him as the main man to beat at heavyweight..we can’t overlook the fact that he has cheated in this sport.

Do we ignore Fury’s claims of contaminated meat but persecute Canelo?

Canelo should have received the same 2 year ban.

My honest opinion is that the ban should be for life.

    Your thoughts..?

Fury will blame boxing politics, mental health and contaminated boar.

Fury has served his time for the crime and wants to move on.

Yet he took the drugs, pissed away 3 years of his career and has only himself to blame.

I think Canelo gets a bit more shit for it because he has basically fought at whatever weight he’s chosen for years and always blows up so much by fight time. Taking any kind of diuretic when you already play that game is a ridiculous advantage you have to figure. I’m completely ignorant as to what fury took or how many other guys likely do the same thing mind you.

What I read could be completely wrong, but it said Clanelo accepted the punishment after a 2nd sample came back with far higher doses and he took the suspension to keep that quiet.

But again, could have been bad reporting

So the fight with Wlad should be changed to a no contest then, as Fury should have been banned.

AJ vs Wlad in that case was for the actual championship.

Becoming clear that this asterisk of being a meat-cheat as opposed to straight shoving it in your arse cheek or arm is becoming a crutch. There needs to be one system one rule or you'll have another Nery situation and rules made up as they go. I'm still not buying the 'voluntary program' and situation around Cuadras.

Not that this should matter under the law, but.... how much has Fury benefited from PED use vs. how much has Canelo benefited from PED use.

Canelo took a hit. Maybe not as big as Fury but there are also other circumstances evolved. Fury had other drug issues.

A 2 year an should be the minimum. If you fail to declare something before hand (Ortiz, Thompson, Floyd) is on you.

Canelo took a hit? As in penalty? You mean the 6-month slap on the wrist when he wasn't going to fight anyway? The paid vacation type hit?

I agree with the rest. Fury did have other drug issues.... big ones. A 2-year minimum would show these bozos that rules are meant to be followed.

But Canelo didn't take a hit.

Fury was notified of the drug test failure for nandrolone, then stopped fighting for two years whilst the anti doping slow pokes resolved it. Cause fury did nothing for two years they just gave him a back dated ban which fury accepted.. I guess it depends on how you look at it, to me fury failed a drugs test and was banned for it, fury will claim a back dated ban doesn't count and that his absence was due to other factors that had suspiciously convenient timing. :S

Canelo always had his detractors but the failed tests have them all the ammunition they needed. His legacy will always be tainted, much worse than other that are guilty of the same crime.
