    I'm proud of Sam Peter.

    Really.

Now here's something to think about...he's becoming a different fighter than the one that lost to Wlad & he's shown better skills on his own...so maybe he don't need a new trainer. He threw a jab, combo's, & a nice upper tonight.

He took the power that Wlad had...& he dropped Wlad before...so give Peter some love...just this once...for he just defeated the greatest mouthpiece of 200lbs...& I am happier than a pig in shit.

One more thing of note, since 1994 he is the first to drop Toney & he has handed him back to back losses.

    So Peter get's Maskaev next...great.

What I respect the most was that Peter (of himself) said that he wasn't the best...but he was getting better.

Sorry people...how can you not like this kid.

That great mouthpiece is also one of the great fighters of the last 20 years. Also one of it's bravest. Not to many fighters would get in the ring with a power puncher like Peter 2 fights in a roll. Especially considering there not natural heavyweights. Toney deserves respect. Rather he's liked or disliked

i agree but wlad tends to be scared and fight a lilttle to coutious now i give ups to wlad in this fight but in the first fight peter took wlads best shot and shook it off ... thing about wlad ill always give him better chanceof winning against any1 in the horizon right now but theres is always a chance for the miracle punch
Peter never took Wladimirs best shot, not by any means. He was rocked by a Left jab which is not his power hand.Wladimir has a huge straight right which could do a lot more damage.
I agree Peter never took Wlad's best shot. But he did take some good ones. And I think it was a left hook that wobbled Peter. Not a jab

Yeah it was a left hook ( anyone who saw the fight last night will never forget it because they said it about 25 times through out the bout).....Peter did not take Wlads best but took some damn good ones....and was only wobbled..The guy has a hell of a jaw...If he gets some defense to go with his improving offense everyone in the division better watch out including Wlad....Who right now IMO is the only guy out there who can beat Peter

Double and Triple Jabs!! For cryin-out-loud!! I couldn't believe it. I got a kick out of the little Ali-shuffle he did at the end. The most impressive thing about Peter last night was his change from a one-and-done puncher to a real boxer with real combo's. His improvement from the last fight was just amazing.

Toney's comments after the fight suggest the possibilty of some brain damage. Talk about disrespect. Peter, on the other hand, was a breath of fresh aiR in this era of trash talk.

well.....Im actaully shocked that Toney lost this to be honest. I havent yet seen the fight but i was sure that he was the superior boxer to anyone in the HW division, and how wrong i was. Fair Play to Sam Peter though it has to be said, it isnt easy to put back to back wins against a GREAT boxer like JT, i just dont know what happened, maybe it was too late for Toney or a huge improvement in Peters work. Now this is gona shake up the HW division quite a bit, thats great news.

We probably won't be seeing Lyle for awhile after that performance.

I wonder if Wlad is still gonna wanna unify the WBC title after Peter wins it.
Why wouldn't we be seeing me for awhile? Peter is still one dimensional and Wlad already whipped his ass I doubt he'll have an issue with doing it AGAIN.

It was some of both, Cockney. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

I'm a fan of Sam Peter but he was less than humble. On one hand I was glad to see Toney get some of his own medicine when Peter mocked him being hurt. On the other hand I was sad to see Toney being humiliated. It's an odd thing.

Toney must have watched Raging Bull on Friday night... "You never knocked me out, Peter. You never knocked me out." 30 years from now he'll be muttering that while he rocks in his rocking chair...

    GO PETER!

Naw Wack, it's not that they don't like him, it's that they're getting worried about him and want to discredit him.
