Cotto, IWO, is a much superior fighter with a hell of a lot better record.

always kinda felt like cotto could beat kostya

Thats the thing, it was always this guy or that guy could beat Tszyu, they got in the ring, and didn't just get beat, they got completly destroyed. No one had a better right cross. Even the greats meet their match sooner or later. Tszyu destroyed Judah and Mitchell at the height of their powers when Tszyu was in his 30's, he taken on all comers and completly obliterated them like they were bums. It didn't matter because he'd always land that right cross.

    Please, deliberate.

KT dominated the division and beat most of the best fighters whilst he was there,I don't think you can ask any more than that of a fighter. One must wonder why Oscar did not go to 140??

I reckon all three of those guys are better fighters than Zab Judah. The Chavez fight doesn't even get a mention IMO - he was too old.

Rodriguez, Pineda, Ruelas - all world class fighters.

For 10 yrs he pretty much beat everybody out there at 140.
Don't forget Tszyu's win over James Leija ! James Leija is often over looked, I always thought Leija was a great fighter to watch, very pleasing to the eye as he moved about the ring. excellent form ! His wars with Azumah Nelson were legandary !

Tszyu was a fantastic 140 lbs fighter... the best Jr. Welterweight ever in my opinion. a fantastic fighter to watch , his style is very exciting.

I submit that even though Kostya beat Julio Cesar Chavez, JCC was better overall.
JCC had more heart insomuch that he fought everyfriggin body on the planet at 140.

JCC was a great watch .. no doubt about that. better over all ? I don't know? they both terrific fighters . if pressed I would still lean to Tszyu . Just like Kostya better overall.

Kostya Tszyu only had 33 pro fights
    JCC had 116

by the time they fought JCC had already been a pro for 20 years.
I have a real hard time rating someone that fights once a year higher than someone that was as successful and active as JCC. I agree that KT is up there, and HAD HE CONTINUED FIGHTING after losing to Hatton I would probably rate him higher. I'm trying to think of anyone that KT beat that had a great chin.

tyzu has been consistent in his career for fighting good fighters, not great fighters (except JCC who was old)
