From what I saw, Castillo was going for a body shot but it was deflected by Ricky's right glove underneath. I never saw the punch land. Ricky then steps on Castillo's left foot which causes Ricky to do this silly little hop and that is what made it look like Ricky was hit. I never saw the glove land. I don't know if it even grazed his trunks.

I just thought I would post the clip since people were talking about it.

I am going to watch the HBO version in a few and try to see if the other so called low blows are actually low or not. I don't know but I am just curious. It does not make that much of a diference but I still like to look at things like this especialy when a similar blow makes one fighter dive to the ground and cause a scene when he gets hit in the same area. I am talking about Judah's theatrics from the first Cotto lowish blow.

because Hatton was given the blessing of Mexicans to do it as they apparantly love his style , and Hatton wanted to be known as the Mancunian Mexican for one night,

The ref. warned castillo 3 times about low blows!!!

just because the dumba$$ commentators didnt catch it and lamply's dumba$$ actually thought the meeting (in the first not second) round was about low blows..

i never realized how much commentators influenced people views of the fight...

lamply and others say he didnt warn him for low blows(everyone says he didnt warn him)
ledderman says hatton was holding 90% of the time (everyone says he was holding all the time)
kellerman says castillo was completely shot.... well you get my point.. i guess thats the perfect storm ..commentators thats never boxed and their viewers that dont know sh!t

I don't think that one was. The others were though, English commentary noted them but HBO missed them (and the warning) till cortez took the point off.

I have not watched the HBO version.

I know the English commentators spotted the calls and everything. You are going to tell me that none of the HBO commentators mentioned the warnings from Cortez to Castillo while they were commentating?

the hbo commentators opinions are far more important to say than cortez's warnings......

but you would have thought they would have atleast remembered them
