You can immerse yourself past your neck, and then shadow box, thread water, or go for a run. Marciano and Ali would do shadow boxing while nearly underwater.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
If you want to mix up the swimming could do sprints on a set time cycle. throw in the different strokes.
One example of a good workout might be 20 sprints - medley order (butterfly, backstroke, breastroke, freestyle) X 4 - we'd do 25 m sprints with 75 m slow back to the start (but you could make that shorter in a smaller pool) and then start next sprint at the end of the time you've chosen to cycle to eg 2 mins.
Done properly you'll feel it :-)

Same pic is on the wall in my boxing gym :-)
I wonder if he was trying to work on his lung capacity aswell when he did this?
I know the swimming coach sometimes gets us to swim underwater without coming up to breathe as far as we can as some sort of exercise that has something to do with that.
I admit I don't know the background behind it. Knowing her though it's unlikely to be something only she does that has not been done and researched elsewhere.
Anyone know more about this?

I know something. I'll blow your mind in the morning.
Right noe it's 11:45 pm here and I'm just passing by for a moment.
