Come on Donny, surely you can't see any other lightweights outside of Khan and Thaxton in Britain who warrant the no1 in the country title?

Has he got a better idea for an opponent or has he just ruled out Tahxton as a good one?
From what I understood of it he withdrew so he could fight Kristijansen first, and said he wanted to come back to Thaxton afterwards. Probably makes sense not to look to far ahead and let him concentrate on one fight at a time.
Not sure if this has made the British press yet, but Kristjansen seems to have withdrawn from the fight due to illness. You can read more here on his promoter's website (in Danish): http://www.teampalle.dk/composite-1551.htm

It basically says that he has a bad case of the flu, is unable to train, doesnt want to show up for such a big fight unprepared, and that he hopes to fight Khan at a latter stage. Make of that what you will...

Yeah, they're the best Lightweights, I'm just not sure he said Lightweights, got a fright and thought he meant best full stop.
