Pavlik won by 2 rounds I thought but 117-111 Why should judges who score so badly be able to do so?

I agree w/ Jesse. 117-112 was probably too wide of a gap, but for Taylor to win is asking a bit much. Pavlik simply worked harder and landed more jabs in almost every round. I thought Taylor did a great job of playing defense and conserving energy in the later rounds in order to land some of his big flurries. in the end, Pavlik earned it thought

Double posting a wrong post doesn't make it a right one

I had it even, but will need to watch it again without the chinese commentary. I could not hear the action and that does have some influence, well for me anyway. Sometimes the effectiveness of a punch has to be heard as visually it does not always tell you.

They were both solid tonight, I'm surprised one didnt hit the canvas. They were alot more tenative than the first fight for sure mainly IMO because Taylor made Pavlik be careful by tagging him with nice counters in the beginning rounds. I'm sure Pavliks shots were doing more but I think JT was landing cleaner. I would have to watch it completely sober to give an honest score though, I'll watch the replay next weekend I guess...What were the punch stats btw?

I was a little surprised by the UD. I had Pavlik winning by 1-2 rounds, but I would have guessed that one judge would see it for JT. Fuckin close fight. JT looked good and did a great job staying away from the big right, but Kelly's workrate and jab won the fight. Look at their faces. Who looked more busted up? Kelly won the fight with that body shot in the 11th. It was even until then.

I can see a few people giving it to Taylor 115-113. Yeah 117-111 was too wide. JT is such a class act. I feel for the guy. Two great boxers and great men. Too bad one guy had to lose, but the right guy won.

Hopefully we'll see JT v Kessler.

As much as I want to deny It....I had Taylor up by 2 points..Very tight fight. They both came to battle. Just a thought and for no apparent reason, Pavlik vs. Kessler anyone?
I think Taylor should forget Middleweight and stay where He is at. Trilogy ?
