Although I'm Roman Catholic I don't really go by the church's expectations. I pray with the same prayers, I confess occasionally, I attend the church and I receive communion, but I'm hardly an exemplary Roman Catholic.

But in the past number of years, I've lost people I've been down, I've seen hard times and I've been hurt.
Friends have died, relatives have died, a hell of a lot of stuff has happened.

one night, I had just finished training and my phone was missing I really couldn't find it. I found my phone to find three missed calls from a friend who had been calling to meet me after training, he had been intending to give me a lift home and when I failed to answer he waited a while and when I din't ring he set off home. The next morning I woke to hear that he had crashed on the way home, the car had bee absolutley mutilated and the passenger seat was literally cut in two on impact, the car looked a disposed piece of tin foil. That would have been me If I could have found my phone and took the lift I had been hoping for.

Some may look at it as luck or a coincidence, but honestly I do thank god that I'm still alive.
good story.. a lot of times we don't realize it but our day is filled with stuff like this.. If you're driving and you're at a red light, and then it turns green but you're not paying attention, so you're sitting there for 5 full seconds and then the person behind you beeps at you.. so now your day is 5 full seconds behind.. who knows how different it would be..

I don't know if there is a God or what ??

Why did God not allow me to join the RAF ??
Why did God not allow me to have an older brother ??
Why did God not allow me to have special talent ??
Why did God allow both my Grandad's to die when I was at a very young age?

Fuck knows if there is a heaven or hell but I just live my life to be the best person I can and treat people how I would like to be.

    Bilbo, I'm DEFINITELY a cunt.

    Jesus was imaginary too.. probably.

Donny, I can't be labeled as anything (well apart from a cunt) I believe the answer is there is no answer.. probably.

Sorry if you feel i disrespected you because I believe you believe in an imaginary being.. don't mean to offend.

Religion inclues ritual and tradition, so people may reject the term "religion"..to them it is better to be spiritual.. in their minds, religion requires church and all that goes with it, but being spiritual requires only a state of mind, which is defined and decided by the person, not an organization.

so being religious and being spiritual may be complimentary, because you can't really be religious without being spiritual.. but you could be spiritual without being religious, and back to what i was saying before, that is where someone who is very religious may consider you a "bad" person because you do'nt go to church every sunday.. well maybe i don't believe in religious traditions, but that wouldn't make me any less of a person.. unfortunately religious fanatics would tend to think so.

That's why i don't believe that religion will save you. It's your relationship with God that matters (in case, you believe in God). As a Christian, that's how I describe being spiritual. Going to church every Sunday will not please God if it's not heartily done. As the Bible says, God does not want sacrifices... He wants things to be done heartily and cheerfully.

It's already 12 midnight here and I still haven't done my client's feasibility study. Nice posts from you people. Bilbo and Hitman and to all who have posted in here, see you again tomorrow for another wonderful discussion about things to be thanked for.

Donny, I was gonna leave this but you told the story.. I hope I don't come across as too much of a crass cunt.

Do you believe God (imaginary) hid your phone to save you.. or did he wanna kill your friend?

If your man wasn't in the exact same place at the exact same time the exact same crash wouldn't have happened, right?

One thing is for certain we dont thank our ancestors enougth genetics and nature are the true God for excellance and fault. Our ancestors are there all the time Giuding us, they want us to succeed we are the end of there line they never stop educating us its all around us if you care to look. I dont believe that if Adam hadnt listened to the talking snake I wouldnt have a pair of Bollocks, never been in to fairy storys. When Im gone Im gone its what I do while living Ill be remembered for be it good be it bad. Im like yourselfs will be a memory, I hope most of it good.

I always figured you were around when Adam and Eve ate of the fruit, I always meant to ask whether you got on the boat with Noah or not?

    Thank you Lord for....

    1. the acceptance of my research in a refereed journal.
    2. keeping the road safe for me while driving.
    3. the funding I received for my research proposal.
    4. my client's feasibility study ( which I'm having a hard time finishing but will definitely pay off)

That will be all for today....

HAHAHAHA. I knew deep in your heart and mind you know that you'll gonna lose this one again Spicoli.

Anyway, thank you for being true to your words. You really paid up. You are the only one who paid me in full. I won't mention other members here who absconded with our bet.

I hope that those who believe that JMM will win would make a bet with me. I badly needed some reps.hehehe.

Man he waited for me outside training same as he would on a regular enough basis, but he thought I wasn't there because I stayed in looking for it.

I would easily have put it down to expierience, but it's not the first time something similar has happened.

In the past two years, the class I started with in secondary scholl has decreased by ten.

Jesus from historical documentation was a real person, whether he was a spiritual figure or not I suppose is up for debate.
