Haye did good tonight, but he had better stay away from the heavyweight division or he'll end up a poor man's herbie hide.

Why's everyone making out like the heavyweight division is so good. Fucking Matt Skelton wasn't that far away from winning a title.

If he hits Klitschko like that, he's going to sleep.

If he hits any heavyweight like that they will be going to sleep.

Just because Herbie Hide couldn't do it, it doesn't mean Haye can't.

Hide's chin was far shitter than Haye's and other than them both being English cruisers who moved to heavyweight, i don't see where there is a link with them. People keep referencing Herbie Hide when mentioning Haye moving to heavyweight. What's he supposed to do? There's cock all left at cruiserweight.

I know he trains out there but I wonder what else made him put the flag on his trunks..I did foolishly put a bet on Enzo to take him out between rounds 6-9 though odds were too good and I had a fiver left in my skybet account back from De La Hoya Mayweather.
Hey Al....in terms of Haye out in North Cyprus....he was really bigging it up during his pre and post-fight comments, and he actually lives out there now, and went to Miami for the training camp.

I'm still shocked at the finish though.

well said. when herbie hide was operating in the heavyweight division it had ten times more quality than it has now. i agree with everything you have to say. the only fear I have for haye is if he fights someone like samuel peter who along with having power is tough and durable. haye i think will do it the right away fighting the right opponents before a title fight. hes certainly a top 10 heavyweight already

I completely disagree, IMO Haye is going to storm the heavywights and remember Haye is a NATURAL heavyweight so he will be hitting harder than he hit Enzo last night and Sam Peter, Wlad Klitchsko... will not be able to cope with his power at all.

Yeah I suppose if you're looking at it that way then he definitely could become a champ going for somebody like Chagaev. Just not sure how he would fare against big, durable (like you said) hitters with some skill to boot.
Worth a go though, its a good time to make history in the heavyweight division. Some people are a little too confident in him going up to the heavyweights though just based on that Bonin victory. We'll have to wait and see.

By the way has anybody got the video of Haye's solitary loss? I've never seen it before and can't find it anywhere. Anyone got a link to Haye vs Karl the Kat?

Just curious why you consider Haye a NATURAL heavyweight? He has fight his whole career - bar one fight - at Cruiserweight, and he didn't exactly come off too weight drained to me yesterday either.

Wlad, Peter or Valuev are natural heavyweights - and by no means could they be fighting at other weights. Haye's best weight is probably somewhere between 200 and 210, and while he might have to lose weight to make it, he obviously has the choice of fighting at cruiserweight.

And the fact that he needs to lose weight is not different from most boxers - hell even Hatton has to train to make 140, but we aren't exactly calling him a natural welterweight are we? This is not to say that Haye will not fare well - or be a better fighter for that matter - at HV...

Haye was the one who said he was a natural heavyweight, I never came to that assumption it's a fact.

Once he moves to heavy he won't be able to make cruiser again, another FACT by what his trainer Adam Booth said.

    News Flash:

Former champion Jose Luis Castillo (56-8-1, 48KOs) quietly returned to the ring for the first time since being stopped by Ricky Hatton in June, and picked up a sixth-round TKO win over Adan Casillas (20-7, 15KOs) at Palenque del FEX in Mexico.

    I don't have any links. I just heard it. Maybe it's bullsh1t.

That castillo fight happend ages ago bro!

But i was impressed with Haye I thought his best chance was to get Enzo out early and he did that and very well done to him. I think Enzo just got caught with a very good shot and the power of Haye is awesome. I would have hoped it could have lasted a bit longer but thats boxing for you isnt it.

Haye will move up now and should get himself to america and get himself an even bigger name. The Hasim Rahman fight still sounds very appealing to me, or a guy with a name like Hasim is what I believe Haye should be aiming for.

Enzo should get a few wins in and try and get one of his old belts back, he still has amazing potential to be a champion and I think he could easily beat most of the challengers out there.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he fight as a HW in the ams?

You have no idea how good Haye's chin is at heavyweight. And you say if Haye lands that shot Wladimer is going to sleep. Wladimer has a much bigger chance of landing that kind of shot on Haye and Haye would be the one asleep then wouldnt he. Wladimer also has a good left hook which Haye looked open for. Haye did good and props to him but dont overrate him over that fight. Enzo is no Wladimer.
