Damn enough is enough. Cotto did the best he can and i think he was winning until the K.O. Diaz in a coma was the last thing on his mind. He was too busy trying to save his own ass. I wish people would just stop making these crappy excuse for him because all thats doing is making him look bad! Please stop it already.

Margarito snatched his heart and ate Cotto's will
You mean kinda like Margarito, Williams and Cotto all snatched floyds heart and made him retire without even laying a hand on him?

I want to see Floyd loose so bad for a long time but hearing people say over and over that Floyd is completely afraid of Cotto and others makes me wanna root for Floyd. I just can't see Cotto and others doing the job to beat him. Cotto gets exposed in every fight and we are yet to see Floyd show clear flaws/weaknesses. You really think Cotto can totally beat Floyd? I wish I could say "Yeah" but I doubt Cotto, Tony, or anybody out there can do the job. After Castillo II, ODLH (split decision, how convicing), and Hatton, I can't see anybody else do it.

DLH wasn't even the real DLH when he fought him, and the first Castillo fight did show some vulnerabilities. Stop making him seem like a god because he beat your boy oscar. Look who oscar is looking to fight now (Pac). That tells you all you need to know about what level fighter he is.

He can run all night and has a decent chance at beating Tony but Tony has just as much chance at beating him given the right situation. He definitely wants no part of Paul Williams . Quintana beat him because he had enough pop to keep him off for stretches. Floyd doesn't like to get his hands dirty so he would be in trouble against a volume puncher with that much size. Cotto has already prover he can do well against faster fighters who are supposed to be better boxers than he is.

I am reading thes responses and it truly disgusts me how you sore losers are making every excuse for the way Cotto lost. Why can't you admit that this great fighter did his best and went out on his shield?

Everytime you try to make an excuse, you cheapen the value and importance of what we were fortunate enough to share. This is an ageless classic--demonstrated by the dozens of people who have shown up at my door to see the fight again and again!

Also, with everyone talking about how much of a true warrior Cotto is, how can you justify that he was concerned for his health

It just sounds like hateration IMO...

I'm pretty sure you can be a true warrior and still choose life over death.

No i doubt that was on his mind...

It's not like he shipped loads of bombs or anything. It was just the mental torture and physical exhaustion from being constantly walked down by a bigger guy.
