That interview sounded promising, lets hope that both him and Pavlik win because, from the way Joe's speaking theres no way hes gonna retire he will fight Pavlik, he seems a but pissed off with people saying hes ducking Pavlik, id put money on this fight happening it they both win.

Im thinking the same thing. If both guys win, and look reasonably good doing so, then there is every chance that this fight could get made.

Joe is funny really... If i remember when RJJ lost to Johnson & Tarver 1-2 years ago, Joe says he has no business fighting him coz he is a spent force or something like that. He also elaborate that there is nothing to gain from beating RJJ because he is irrelevant and he is after only those other big names. So why fight now? Seems like Joe loves to kick oldies arse.. Some of you say Pavlik is a hype job and has a weak chin according to Joe... well he maybe a product of a little hype(according to haters) but he is not a spent force or a has been and most of all he is not a 40+ year old fighter... This kid can punch and knock someone out. He went up thru the ranks the hard way. Joe can say anything he wants against this kid but he will always be remembered as a fighter who fights in obscure during his prime and went only against the big name when they are past their prime (as of this time and it may change who knows).

And it came from Frank Warrens mouth after the Khan fight that he is matching his fighters carefully that he is to blame if his fighter fails... take note... he match his fighters only to those who are known lesser or zero risk opponent then develop and hype them up and wait for the right time to conquer as the case of Joe himself. Everything about Warrens activity as a matchmaker was exposed after KHAN failed. He wants Khan to develop like the way Joe has by fighting unknown and to have an unblemish record.. and what happen no luck this time. My point here is that Joe was a product of hype himself and he got an unblemished record coz he never fought a significant fight until recently. His records don't lie.. I don't belittle his achievements but the way he belittle Pavliks achievements is ridiculous.. Compare what he achieved when he was at the same age of Pavlik right now. Pavlik of 25 yr old is already a lineal champ at MW, i dont think it happens by accident. What did Joe achieve when he was 25? still fighting bums i think or fighting past their prime or spent force if we use his vocabulary... I don't dislike Joe but the way he is acting and saying recently makes me laugh...

As for your 25 test? huh did I miss something? Pavlik beat Taylor - and? Who the fuck is Taylor? Joe while beating nobodies did beat Eubank who even at that stage is better than Jermain. Oh Yes Pavlik beat Lockett - Joes sparring partner.

For Pavlik, man he beat the man who beat the man of the division... Taylor beat Hopkins twice.. and mind you he beat a 3 years younger version of Hopkins (than the time Joe beat Hopkins).. Now tell me who the FUCK TAYLOR IS? Comparing Taylor against Eubank is plain ridiculous to begin with.. Better compare them by the time Joe fought Eubank then Pavlik against Taylor..

As for the Locket issue.. Pavlik did what he is supposed to do... Knock the bum out.. Again im not discrediting Joes achievements but comparing it to the fighter he loves to discredit as a possible opponent... If Pavlik can't past Hopkins then i might change my mind regarding him but until then i wait and see..

Benn wasn't supposed to beat McClellan thats a fact. Warren though is no different to anyother promoter regarding matching his fighters.
Taylor got old man Hopkins similar if you like to Joe beating Eubank - though Joe did do a better job. Hopkins and Eubank were still difficult opponents - just cause a fighter has seen better days doesn't mean hes a soft touch.

Pavlik is a fighter who I personally hope rules for years and I understand him wanting to get out of a weak division but he should clean up the division with a fight against Abraham. ( I think Pavlik will win but its no formality). Pavlik as you say is the man and he beat Taylor who struggled with Cory Spinks and Kassim Ouma for fuck sake - little guys in the wrong division.

I also see the Pavlik vs Calzaghe fight happening unless Joes hands go again against Roy. But then will Kelly deserve credit for beating an old Calzaghe who no longer has snap in his punches?

How about Pavlik call out Abraham or has he forgotten about him. They are in the same weight division after all.

Had Taylor hit any other boxer with those type of punches, they would've done the same thing. None of those shots Pavlik took were glancing, they were all FLUSH shots to the dome and it's impressive he got up and survived that round...

In the business aspect of the sport, which would be a smarter move, calling out Abraham who only boxing fans know, or calling out Calzaghe and fighting Hopkins? IMO Pavlik is making the right choice. Abraham is someone he should fight eventually but Pavlik has bigger fish to fry right now.
