Also Tony Thompson was the number 1 contender for Wlad's belt, does that mean he deserved it? Gomez is good, but definitely not the right opponent for Haye, he isn't well known enough, he dissapeared after he was a cruiserweight, and once again the guys I mentioned we can compare Haye's performances to those of Wlad. Gomez is a southpaw who won't be talked about after Vitali crushes him.

That sucks about Brock, I really liked him, his wife was a lawyer, I think he has a business degree, either way he is good to go.
Nice use of google. You keep asking what Gomez has done at Heavyweight but keep ignoring what Haye has done at Heavyweight? Yeah he beat Monte Barrett. So did Cliff Couser. In quicker fashion. Facts are Gomez is more deserving and has done more at Heavy than Haye. I understand Haye is hot right now. So guys like you are going to suck his dikk more than usual. But he's hot cuz of his work at Cruiser and cuz he runs his mouth. He ain't more deserving than Gomez. They should fight each other to see who is.
Why are you comparing what Haye has done? Gomez has his shot with one of the brothers, I am sayign taht Haye shouldn't get that yet. I am not denying that Gomez has been in the division longer than Haye, I am just saying he is not a good stepping stone for Haye because most people have either forgotten about him at cruiserweight or never heard of him. Fuck you about google... I only use it to find what websites your mom is on.
i dont think i ever heard u talk like that before but it is kinda funny

That comment is unacceptable when you don't know people's family history.
Having a go at other posters is fine but that sort of thing is well out of order.

Haye should fight some of the following before fighting either Wlad or Vitali: Alexander Dimitrenko, Lamon Brewster, Sam Peter, Jameel McCline, and Oleg Maskaev.

Haye is going to have to deal with great boxing ability and great power...IMO he hasn't shown that he can handle either

He's actually won two. The fight against McCall was (supposedly) an eliminator too, but the whole Peter/Maskaev/Vitali circus kinda screwed him over. After winning two eliminators, you'd think he'd be up there deserving a shot.

Also, he was WBC Cruiserchamp when he moved up, and while there may be a case for suggesting that merits in Cruiser dont count when evaluating HW, surely it is not a case that can be used for Haye?

Haye is fighting Vitali. It is as well as signed. The point is moot.

Does beating Haye help Vitali's legacy or standing?

I don't think it helps his standing, the only way to do that at this point would be to to fight Wlad. It would however help his legacy, beating a young strong fighter with a big name.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I'm comparing what he's done cuz you keep saying what Gomez has done. Like if Haye has done so much. Gomez and Haye are very similar. Both are former Cruiserweights who are now Heavyweights. Both to me are undeserving (Haye more so) of a title shot. They think otherwise. I say let them fight to see who's more deserving. You say Gomez is unknown and unheard of. Gomez is only unheard of to muthafukkas like you. But that's not surprising. If fighters ain't name Tyson or De La Hoya your ass is clueless about them. Bookmarking google and Boxing Rec allows you to front and maybe fool some people. But not me. I seen through your plastic ass a long time ago.

Yeah because Gomez amde such a name for himself. When did Gomez become the unified cruiserweight champion? He hasn't been the in the top 10 of the ring magazine until his last win from what I can see. You know fuck all of the fights I've seen. If you could read I just said ONCE AGAIN than Haye doesn't deserve the title shot yet. Yapping your mouth IMO doesn't make you deserving of it. That is why the whole point of this thread is these are these guys I feel would not only get him ready and deserving of that shot, but also we can see if he can cope with these guys on a similar level with the brothers, and just how hard he actually hits. Read please, it helps with making an argument.

Guess what? I just said it. Moma jokes hardly dig deep in this day and age.

The problem is you got Haye facing McCline a career underachiever who gasses out after 4 rounds and fights nothing like the Klitschkos. Brock a guy who will never fight again. And Peter a fighter who quit in his last fight. If Peter couldn't connect against Vitali what makes you think he can connect against Haye? In my opinion all 3 are past tense fighter. There done. Fighting them means nothing. Gomez on the other hand is similar to Haye. Is he better than Haye? Maybe. Maybe not. Like Haye he to is underserving. All I'm saying is let them fight to see who's better and more deserving. You want to argue against that go ahead. I think Haye-Gomez is more intriging than Haye-McCline/Brock/Peter.
