Shane needs to watch the Oscar Pac fight again and ask himself "Do I really want to leave the sport in that fashion?"
He does. But what Mosley has in his favor is the fact he hasn't absent from the 147 division as long as Oscar was. And it's obvious Mosley can still pull the trigger

Manny has a great chance, but he and his fans should totally disreguard past fights as a reason, mosely won't show up in the ring weighing 112 pounds and mosely dodges punches not block them with his face. Age doesn't mean much, pac has had a ton of fights and mosely just beat margo while divorcing his wife, firing his father, being caught up in the balco crap, and damn near being cheated all at the same time. No one knows who will win this one.

If the fight is made at 145+ and Mosely can manage to boil down to it then I think he could do a number on Pac.

Perfect combination of a fighter/boxer as far as beating Pac is concerned... they better hope that they manage to weight drain him.

I consider the fight with Mosley at a catchweight of 144 as the most difficult for PAC at this stage compared to Floyd (@143), JMM (@140) or Cotto (@143)... Props to PAC for considering the most dangerous fight...

This is a boxing forum... I'm just presenting my own personal opinion... It's up to you how you interpret it if you agree with it or not...

Why don't you rank the 4 (Shane, Floyd, JMM, Cotto) possible opponents for PAC from most dangerous to least dangerous? Do it Mr. Kel...

I agree. Arum is being a dick right now. He says "they're still looking around for the best deal." A 60/40 split with Shane Mosley is easily the best deal out there.

I'd hope to see Mosley do a little better than that in both cases. Although 143.5 is the halfway point between 140 and 147. If I were Mosley, I'd use the 60/40 as leverage to get the catchweight to move up another pound (145). "concessions"

I really think this fight should be at 145. Any lower would be a huge disadvantage towards Mosley and then the Pacquiao haters/discreditors would be able to dissect a Pacquiao win if he does.

I'm not surprised if Mosley would take a 60/40 split in Pac's favor. He said he doesn't care about the money and is just looking to fight the best and give the fans a fight they want to see. This only makes me respect Mosley that much more if I already didn't have the utmost amount.

Floyd is in no way going to seek out a fight with Cotto. If he won't fight Mosley because he has 5 losses, isn't a PPV attraction, and can only sell out the Staples Center then he can easily say something about Cotto having just lost, isn't a PPV attraction as well, and can only sell out Madison Square Garden.

Just recently, between picking a fight with Marquez and his interview with Brian Kenny, I've gradually become less and less of a fan of Floyd's.

Good point about what he would say about Clottey!
i know how u feel C-lo. i really wish floyd would step it up in competition a bit and take on fighters like Cotto or Mosley. i can only hope that his next fight will be against an elite welter.

I favor Mosley by ko/tko in this fight. Styles make fights and Mosley has a good style to put Pac in serious trouble. Manny hasnt fought an elite fighter yet above 130 with the speed, skill, or power of Mosley. Oscar had skill but they were diminished when he fought Pac. I still think that Mosley is on the slide and that he has been showing signs of age dispite his great performance against Margarito. This is where I think the public will be fooled. What will happen after this fight is Mosley-Mayweather and I think by then people will favor Mosley, but not acknowlege that he is getting old ond on the downslide. But, who can blame them if he beats Margarito and Pac back to back. Mayweather would be an intriguing fight, but I dont think we will be dealing with the best version of Mosley by then, as he ist the best version of himself now imo. I would rather see a prime Pac fight Mayweather, but this fight will derail that fight imo. I think because of this fight we wont see Pac-Floyd, and its too bad because instead we will likely see Floyd beat an old man and claim greatness after. And most will believe him.

My hearts tells me Manny Pacquiao will win this fight but my brain tells me Mosley will win... I don't know.

    But the real deal is.

If Manny Pacquiao wins this one. The critics will say:

Oh Manny Pacquiao wins because his to old

    or

    Oh Shane Mosley is dehydrated!

    or

Oh Shane Mosley is not in his prime anymore.

I sick and tired hearing this thing. No matter how many excuses the critics made. Manny Pacquiao is already an All Time Great.

In case this are the reasons why Pacquiao wins. Let Me say this to critics - SHAME ON YOU!

Manny Pacquiao fought BIGGER opponents and you don't credit that? SH*T What a as* Hole!

It's not really the split, I'm sure its not really be a problem for Arum, it's Pacquiao facing another Top Rank fighter. So it means as the Promoter Arum gets two shares for one Mega fight. Mosley is GBP while Cotto is Top Rank, so Arum has to split the Promoter's cut if he fights Mosley. He looks at it from the stand point that if Pacquiao loses there goes the Mega pay. It's a conflict of Interest and Team Pacquiao should kick his ass for standing in the way. Not really, but as a boxing fan that's totally how I feel.

    Bring it on!!!

I don't like this catch weight nonsense at all, but Mosley will have seen DLH and will be well aware of what he can and can't do. Hopefully 145 as he is giving up a lot of the purse.

My only concern is Mosleys inactivity and age whilst making this weight. But having said that he is bigger, faster and more canny than any of Pacs more recent opponents. I hope he does a real number on Manny.

It is your opinion and I don't agree with your opinion.

One of the names you mention already beat Pac twice and is facing PBF next.. unless your a complete retard can you understand why I don't need to say anymore?

The other three you mention are Welters but Pac won't fight them at their most effective weight. What is stopping Manny? De La Hoya was such a beast at 147 and he beat him up... yeas? Like tiger with angry teeth!! No?

'Fact', and not 'opinion' is Pacquiao never lost a fight to any of those fighters. Nobody can't change that fact with an opinion. If saying it makes you feel good then go ahead.... feel goood! Saying it ain't a dig to 'nuthuggers' because it's on deaf ears. Marquez drew one fight and lost the other one. 'Fact' not 'Hallucination'

'haters' and 'huggers' whatever... "Get over it!".
