I can't get over that, that was a complete domination of a very good fighter. Amazing performance for such a young guy. I picked him but it was a gut feeling type thing, in no way expected that.

Was about to repeat what OumaFan said, performed brilliantly if I didn't have swine flu (I really do, went to the doctor's today) I would be there, oh well.

Agreed. That was a huge coming out party for Ward.

I reiterate what I said earlier, if Ward goes on to win this thing Bilbo will have correctly predicted the winner.

Kessler is still going to starch Froch though.

Honestly it played out as I thought it would, maybe Kessler got befuddled early but no way did I believe Kessler had any chance to win the decision. He's as brilliant of a boxing mind as there is for a guy so young and he showed it tonight, just schooled way beyond his years. Of course he still makes some amateurish mistakes but the footwork was just brilliant. A lot of things were, kept the pressure on good.

Kessler called it exactly right. The holding was unnaceptable and 5 'accidental' butts? Fair play on Ward on starting more quickly, but Kessler had no chance to get into it with all the foul play.

Ward just said "I'm not a dirty fighter". He is one of the nastiest pieces of work I have seen in a good few months, since Direll.

    Was the ref fair?

The holding was just terrible and as soon as Ward was done hitting in the clinch the ref stepped in, are you all blind?

Why would Ward need to intentionally butt a fighter he was beating in literally every aspect of the game?

Kessler is such a sore loser, you could clearly see the headbutts were accidental.

And as much as I commend Andre for his performance, he needs to lay off the Jesus when he is talking. Sounds a bit nutty...

No matter how you put it, it wasn't the headbutts that did Kessler in.

I dunno about the ref but Ward wasn't excessive.

Anyway, Kessler couldn't be effective in a clinch if he's life depended on it. So actually, the ref did him a favour

Only the 2nd fight i've seen of Wards and i admit, i seriously underrated him. He's good.

Kessler didn't land a single notable overhand right. That fight was shockingly one sided. Ward even had Kessler hurt in the 4th. Ward has amazing speed and reflexes. Kessler virtually had no moments. Even the strongest hater/apologist can not deny who the better fighter is.

For an Irishman you sure make a lot of sense.
