Default Frank Warren pissed off with Ryan Rhodes

Frank Warren has voiced his anger at Ryan Rhodes' withdrawal from his planned European Light Middleweight title defense against Lukas Koncency on September 18th. Rhodes' withdrawal has resulted in him being stripped of the European title and Matthew Hall will now take his place. Warren said " I won the Rhodes and Barker fights by submitting the biggest purse bids, so it seems pretty weird that they should both pull out. I'm told Rhodes had only done about a week in the gym training for the fight and has also been on holiday. When boxers withdraw like this of course it hits the promotion. It's just not fair on fight fans. But the show goes on ".

How true this is is hard to say, but I was thinking this the other day bit of a coincidence that the two fighters that have withdrawn from this bill is the two fighters that Warren is not a promoter to and just won the purse bids?

If true Very bad on Rhodes is part but it is Frank Warren so wouldn't take this as gospel.

Always nice to see someone fucking over Frank. It's usually the other way around.

    Was expected really.

Are you getting the PPV? Some good fights, but there's no star attraction for me.

I reckon i'll give it a miss. There's no fight that i'm genuinley excited about. Jennings should be cannon fodder fro Brook. Jomardashvili has already lost to Martin Murray, so you'd expect Macklin to walk that one.

Sexton - Chisora is mildly interesting, on the off chance Chisora bites him.

DeGale isn't in danger of losing, and won't be for the next 18 months, nor is he particularly good to watch.

I don't care if Enzo Maccarinelli gets knocked out again, nor do i care if he wins.

There's no way it should be £15 imo. There'll not be a fight that tops Burns - Martinez.

You no what I actually think Hall v Koncenky will be fight of the night both brawlers who just throw big hooks, but I might just stream it see how it goes.

Anyone that pisses Warren off is good in my book, watch the git still make it ppv.

I'm sure I'll still end buying it, but the gloss of it is wearing thin and if you've seen any of my other posts you'll know I was already slightly reluctant to buy this anyway.

I thought the other olympians were going to be on the bill? I can only see De Gale, I'm sure I read somewhere that Gavin and Saunders were going to make the undercard. They would make me want to watch it.

I'm only really looking forward to the Sexton fight and the De Gale fight now.

Frankies on it mate speak to him alot, he was fighting Curtis Woodhouse ( bit of bad blood there ) but Woodhouse pulled out injured so he is fighting Kelly for the Irish Title.

    Ideal.

He isn't part of the "Super 7" or whatever they are promoting it as though is he? I haven't seen his name mentioned anywhere. Must be in small print somewhere!

What about Saunders? He could do with a decent performance as he's gone a bit soft last couple of fights.
