    Rahimov working the jab. Thompson lands a looping right, but the conviction isn't on it. Left hook to the head, left hook to the body for Thompson. Rahimov backing off a bit. Thompson landing some good jabs. Cracking uppercut from Rahimov. Rahimov steps into his jab right hook combo. Thompson showing a good chin, Rahimov showing more effective work. Thompson still throwing though, just nothing getting in.

    Round 6

    Thompson on the short end of the stick, but not giving in. Thompson keeping the jab in rohimov's face and moving. Nice left hook from Rahimov. Thompson going back to left hooks to the body and Rahimov notices. accidental head butt. Thompson jumps in behind a jab. Thompson getting the jab going. Rahimov gets inside and lands 3 uppercuts in a row. Thompson goes back to the body and jabs. Rahimov pulls down Thompson's head and gets warned. Left hook right hook to the head from Rahimov. Thompson backs up to the ropes and they trade, Rahimov getting the better, but Thompson showing a strong resolve.

    Round 7

    Left hook from Thompson lands. Rahimov trying to work inside, but Thompson keeps him off with the jab. Rahimov counters with an overhand right. Rahimov inside starts to go to work and Thompson clinches, the ref is in there quickly to separate them. Rahimov lands a craqcking right, Thompson complains about a headbutt, but those were clearly punches. "Rahimov, Rahimov" is heard from the crowd. Big exchange. Thompson starts landing some big shots an overhand right rattles Rahimov, but his (Thompson) nose is red and his mouth is open.

    Round 8

    A jab starts the round from Thompson, Thompson getting wild trying to land something, Rahimov patiently steps in and cracks a straight right. Thompson turning tries a long straight right caught on the elbow of Rahimov. Rahimov caught trying to work in by a left hook. Thompson starts going to work, with a jab and left hooks. ref says "watch the heads" Thompson starts going for an offensive. Rahimov lands a nice uppercut and thompson's movement is effected. Thompson's bleeding can't tell if it's from his nose. Thompson giving a game effort, but not nearly as effective.

    Round 9

    Both seconds are slow out of the ring. Rahimov bouncing on his feet now, pot shotting. Thompson trying to counter, but not landing. Looping right to the body lands for thompson. Rahimov's nose starting to show some damage. Thompson just trying to lay gloves on Rahimov now. Rahimov's legs looking a little winded now. uppercut lands. Rahimov throwing a lot but not landign. Thompson lands a jab, poor effort of an uppercut from Thompson misses. I think Thompson took that.

    Thompson touching Rahimov nothing effective. Rahimov powers in behind a piston jab. Thompson's eye swelling is getting worse. Left hook to the body from Thompson. Thompson throws 4 punches, nothing lands. clinch. Rahimov spins thompson around showing some angles landing some jabs. Strong left hook to the body from Thompson, Rahimov power through and he goes to the power shots, Thompson clinches. Thompson still giving an effort throwing a lot of punches lands a soft uppercut. Rahimov works in to land more power shots, Thompson's eye is swelling shut.

    Thompson slow off his stool. Rahimov works in hard, relentless, looking to swarm Thompson out now. Thompson goes to the body, toe to toe trading Rahimov lands a nice uppercut, but there is no quit in Thompson he goes back to the jab, cracking left hook from Rahimov. Thompson lands two strong punches. Rahimov trying to head hunt, but Thompson is punching inside and starting to get better, ref steps in to warn for head clashes in the middle of the action

    Both guys faces showing some serious wear and tear. Rahimov swarms in Thompson clinches and then jabs out, back to the clinch. Rahimov working in strong now landing a lot of heavy shots. Thompson working his way back. Another war, this has been a great fight. Again trading, both guys looking for a bingo. 1-2 from Thompson, his eye is swollen shut. Thompson landing a lot of 1-2s now. Rahimov works in, but lands nothing inside. 1-2 from Thompson. Headbutt Thompson walks away complaining, their trading to the bell. Thompson round

    Dapudong has to be the favorite, but this should be a great fight, Uicab will push him to the brink. (I hope it's a great figt at least)

    Both national anthems (Mexico and Philippines) are sung in their entirety, and the crowd respectfully applauds both.

    Dapudong gets a warm welcome during his announcement.
    Uicab's announcement makes the crowd erupt into applause complete with trumpets playing some mariachi.

    Round 1

    Bell. Uicab jabs to the body. Uicab working the jab, but gets popped by a hook. Big right to the body from Uicab, Beautiful counter from Dapudong with a left hook to the head. Uicab getting inside and really peppering Dapudong. Dapudong's nose already red. Nice uppercut from Dapudong, Uicab goes back to the body, Dapudong looks cold and slightly unstable. Nice jab from Dapudong. Uicab throwing and landing some nice power shots. Dapudong lands a nice left hook, but Uicab's back in there to ensure he takes the round

    Dapudon trying to stand his ground now planting to land heavy shots. Uicab works in, but Dapudong is starting to get his legs, nice combo from Uicab, Dapudong lands a sharp left hook. They trade, an uppercut glances off of Dapudong's chin. Uicab starts hooking, head body body. Right hook from Dapudong. Left hook to the body from Uicab, low blow from Dapudong, referee halts the action. right to the body left to the head from Uicab. Dapudong tries to power in but misses. Uicab chops the body and Dapudong isn't reacting like he needs to

    Ref calls time out to remove all the vasoline on UIcab.
    Uicab stabbing some jabs. Dapudong starts landing a 1-2 and a jab. Uicab spins in a hook. Dapudong looking for a left hook counter, but it's not happening so far. Uicab continues working the body, Dapudong lands a solid right, Uicab jumps right on him and attacks. 1-2 102 from Uicab. Uicab peppering the body and head of Dapudong, but they aren't strong punches. jab from Dapudong lands. Uicab goes back to the body. Right lands for Dapudong. Very telling that their jabs reach at the same time even though Dapudong has the clear reach advantage

    10-9 Uicab (announcers gave it to Dapudong)
