Such a stupid article. Did Oner write that himself? It read Solis on his way to dethronig Vitali....lol it was one freaking round that he lost 10-8. I certainly wouldnt pay for tickets to see that bullshit. Let him prove he can fight with his knee busted up against some decent opponents first theres plenty of guys like Eddie Chambers, Chris Arreola that he should have to face first to prove himself. No fucking way does he come back in 6 months and get another shot. Fucking stupid article. Cannot believe you guys want to see this joke get another shot. Get fucking injured just moving around the ring, what a out of shape bastard. Lol. Oh he landed 4 shots, oh Vitali had a red spot on his chest he was obviously going to lose...

True, but had the knee not collapsed it would not have been a 10-8 round. Solis was winning the round IMO and I was backing against him. It wasn't a knock down in the usual sense, but you have to give it to Vitali as the ref started counting.

I think Solis has been rushed through too quickly too, but it was a loss brought about through a freak injury. Personally, I would rather he came back in a warm up against those types of opponents too, but I would have no qualms with a rematch.

I don't think he will be ready to fight in 6 months if that injury is as they say and he should certainly have a tune up first to test it out. I guess he just wants to get his shot at Vitali before he retires which I think he may well do at the end of this year.

Well after having seen the entire "fight" as opposed to just watching the knockdown/injury. Solis may have been winning the round up until he got hurt, but however hard that punch was it DID stun Solis who I think as he was backing up while hurt didn't have good control of himself and he fell with his leg under his fat ass thereby tearing up his knee. All I have to say is rematch or no rematch Solis has a very weak chin...but he is a good boxer I saw some flashes of speed, good combinations, and decent defense, but that chin is very shakey

His chin didn't get touched at all. You can count three full seconds from the time that little glancing shot lands to the time he steps back and falls down clutching his knee. He wasn't hit or hurt at all imo. Also, he looks like he's limping from the first bell. His legs don't look good from the start.

I actually think on reflection he will do well in a rematch. He needs to earn it though. My guess is he will be out for six months at least. Hopefully he can get in with Adamek or Arreola after, either of those fights would be fun, and then put him back in.

He was too stunned! Why the hell did he buckle and then back up and fall down? Vitali hit him in the head and it hurt Solis so you can parse my words and say "Well he didn't get hit on the chin and so his chin is ok" or you can look at the fight and see he got hit in the head and hurt.

You don't bounce up and down and circle around the ring like that if your knee is already hurt and you are about 30 pounds overweight.

He could very well earn a rematch rather quickly, BUT he's going to have to take a warm up fight and test that knee out and then maybe he takes on a good challenge and if he does well he's got a title shot, I give it 1 year-year and a half...it takes time to rehab a knee especially after tearing an ACL.

I'm pretty sure that Solis either fucked his knew while extending it on that last flurry or he fucked it once he 'landed' while simultaneously getting caught with an uppercut.... The punch definitely did wobble him though because his left leg stiffened.... He then tried to step right and then he just crumbled backwards.

The punch did hurt him but it did not directly or indirectly cause his knee to give out.
The punch did not cause him to go down, his knee did.

None of this matters, Solis is a fat bum who should be axed. Literally.

Wow people are rough on dude lol ! I don't know either way. None of us do. Rewinding the tape or calling out csi to investigate will get you the same results. Everyone is guessing on what happened. Only solis knows for sure. Either way he did no better or worse than anyone else getting mopped by the klitch's lately. Hell in less than a round he did way more than let's say ....david haye. It's funny to hear people call solis or arreolla fat and out of shape while fighting, yet people give credit to the so called greek god who uses his fit body to only talk. Shit happens and that's what we just saw this weekend. Solis would have probably eventually loss, but so has everyone else.

Very true Mar....as a boxing fan I (and I'm sure you, and everyone else) hates this kind of ending because it isn't a true result. Had Solis' knee not screwed up he COULD have continued his in and out approach but for how long...would Vitali tire? Would Vitali get hurt? Would Solis tire? There are more questions with a result like this than answers and as a fan it pisses me off.

JimBoog the pics you've shared are good, but do you have any of when he actually fell? Because it seemed to me (though it wasn't caught on camera) that Solis' right leg ended up under his body when he fell. From your pictures it also seems like Solis rolled his left ankle which lead to gravity showing him no mercy

    Utterly pathetic. Fact.

As for Solis faking it or quitting and all that shit, that punch "clipped" him on the temple, which involuntary stiffened his legs, which fucked his already injured knee. Simple.

The punch that brushed Solis's head had nothing to do with the outcome. His knee had gone, happens to a lot of sportsman.

Everyone seems pissed off at the disappointing outcome and forgets what was happening in the round. Solis was closing the range, getting inside on Vitali and connecting. There were enough clues to suggest that by the 7th or 8th Vitali would have had his hands full. Personally I would prefer to see a rematch of Solis v Vitali over Haye versus anyone.

David (fucking) Haye was quick to say that Odlanier would "Go down in history as just another fat bum". What he meant to say was that Odlanier would "Go down in history as just another fat bum who knocked out David Haye".

Heres hoping that Wlad knocks out Haye so that the Solis rematch with Vitali can happen instead of Vit having to avenge his brothers loss.

He wasn't fat when an immature Haye punched himself out trying to capitilise on rocking him in round one.

its was bad luck really, tho he doesnt help himself turning up in that shape......Vitalis a big man with a big punch, he's always been heavy handed... the punch solis got rocked by wasnt the hardest but caught him on the temple and he didnt see it, it did enough to stiffen his left leg which caused the right to buckle....dam shame really as he show slight good work with the quick shots he landed

hayes a total dickhead, hes twice pulled out of klit fights and i expect him to pullout again. solis look ok fighting of the back foot landing a few good shots before he got hurt......where as haye will use his body to run for as long as he can hopeing he lands a lottery punch before getting ko'd himself.....thats if he doesnt pullout like i said

I have had that injury playing football took me a year to get back. I also remember Tyson having the same when he lost to Danny Williams. It can happen to any of us great sports stars.
