Floyd and Ortiz are comming to the uk to promote the fight and Floyd will be doing abit training for the fans. He always said he liked the british fans . Not sure why it will need promoting here tho as floyd doesnt normaly fight on ppv here.

Out of interest, for everyone saying this is a dud fight, who could/ should have Floyd fought? (excluding PAC)

I've also just learnt the fight is at 160! That's huge for Floyd, has he been on the Hatton diet?

It's a welterweight bout of 147.. I dont know where you got that 160. You're probably talking about Ortiz rehydrating up to 160 on the night of the night.

Read it on Skysports, I thought it seemed big! They even brang up the Oscar fight about the weight increase.

Sky has to be mis-informed then because there's no reason why the fight would take place at 160.

Floyd always stays in-shape and his walk around weight isnt much different from where he's fighting at.

This fight is for ORtiz' 147 WBC title.

160 ? Really. Would be interested in seeing if they are talking about this being higher than 147.Hey I wouldn't doubt it ya know. Forget it being big for floyd, we're talking about a guy in Ortiz who has ONE official Welterweight fight. Wasn't he the one being called smaller then Berto etc etc. I know he has the wingspan of a Condor but wow.

The more I think about it, the less likely it seems. Maybe Sky just made that bit up.

Especially because there's a title on the line.

I don't see the point in this fight at all other than to make a little bit of pocket change.

The ONLY rational behind it is some sort of tune up fight to see if he still has 'it'.

He's been out the ring for over 18 months I think, so at least he has that excuse for not being in a competetive fight.

ALSO this fight is only going to amplify accusations from pactards etc that he is 'scared' of pacroid.

Really I don't know why he'd go ahead with this fight. Might as well stay retired.

Ok I see the phrase "pacroid" so I will take it that you believe that he uses steroids. I am waiting for Floyd Sr and Jr to show us the proof they have that he has or currently does use steroids. Until then I will lump that accusation with the same people who accuse Floyd of being "Gayweather".

Oh well at least I get to use my quotes again....

I doubt it! The fight is listed as a WBC Welterweight Title Fight.

I think the ultimate source was Sky Sports, who obviously got their wires crossed, assuming we all know Ortiz fights at around the 160 mark.

(MAYWEATHER/PACQUIAO - THE BIG BANG) Floyd will have Bruce Willis wearing his Armageddon wardrobe during his ring walk. Pacman will fly out in his costume from his film, and I'll be streaming it, because neither is getting another dime from me for PPV.
    hahahahaha!!
