WBC has stated no one is a mandatory unless they say so! Even after ranking fighters, #1 don't mean a thing. Canelo has not ever fought a #1 contender. But instead have all these #1 contender eliminators. Now they was Vanes to fight Lara for an eliminator instead of giving the #1 guy his due title shot. Canelo should be stripped for not fighting the top guy. But instead Vanes ranking has drop to #3. Here's Saul last 8 fights in which started his title reign . . .

Kirkland would be a damn good opponent so don't get what the fuss is all about, he's at least not fighting the Peter Manfredo's of the world, 154 is stacked right now with good strong fighters, including

if Canelo was to fight any of those guys IMO he should catch any crap, and this is coming from a guy who's not even a big fan

Bundrage may hold a title but he's nothing great lets be honest. Could easily replace him with Konecny, Maciel, Soro, Baysangurov...

Bundage haven't yet got his chance. He got Manny Ste as his trainer. He might have got better since the series for all we know. I'll like to see K-9 bit the cinnamon stick(no pun)
