ESPN reports that Lucian Bute will not use a recent foot infection as an excuse for his upcoming fight with Carl Froch. Bute's trainer, Stephan Larouche, indicates that Bute-Froch won't be a "toe story".

At that moment and somewhere in the UK, David Haye inexplicably gagged on his lunch.

On the sky show Johnny Nelson was saying that Bute has an infected foot which could hamper him during the fight with Froch. I think they are pretending otherwise they would not have disclosed that information, just seems too obvious.

The trainer said Bute was 100%, so I wouldn't expect the foot to be used as an excuse should Bute lose. Gotta love the dig at David Haye, however. "Toe-gate", "Toe Story".... it'll be awhile, if ever, before Haye lives that one down.
