Apparently Barry McGuigan is training him?? And he's making his pro debut in November in Manchester.
Me, being from the USA, have no idea who you are talking about, but I am interested in anyone who switches careers. It takes more courage than most of us have, especially if you've had a successful first career. You said, "never in a million years", is that because he had a great career playing cricket, or he may be a little old to start boxing, or maybe you just can't picture him as a boxer? With Barry McGuigan in his corner, I'm thinking he's off to a good start! Keep us posted, it's the kind I like.
Now I think about it, to be honest with you Flintoff was a massive personality in the england team and a great character, he's got a good build and out of any cricketer in this country who would have turned into a pro boxer it could have been him. The reason why i did say never in a millions years would I have thought Flintoff would have turned pro was because of Ross' comment, he was very injury prone and it did limit his career on the pitch.

He was a fantastic all rounder though, outstanding with the bat and ball. Many a time have the England team relied on Flintoff to turn around matches with his performances. I was always sad to see Flintoff leave because he's such a likeable character, he's done a lot of stuff on the television post injury, and I'm pretty sure this is part of that really.

But back to Ross' point if he's fit enough to be a pro boxer , why the hell isn't he trying to get back into the england team?? With Kevin Peterson and Andrew Strauss retiring recentley, I would love Flintoff to get back to full fitness and play cricket again. He would fit into any side when fully fit.
