Rigo didn't get any credit for his amateur career when he wanted Donaire the double standards get tiring.
But in fairness it was mostly all you ever heard about on his way up by all the commentators.
I no what you mean, but Golovkin can fight and so can Rigo both outstanding Amateur Champions,
I've never bother with what commentators have to say, having watched both fighters in the Amateur
and pro ranks. I come to my own conclusions, on the fighters I watch having watched so MUCH boxing
through the years, sometimes its hard to be impressed but Golovkin does.!
Yeh I was just pointing out above that Rigo was very much pushed on Ama. pedigree and style etc. It came up and said he was in a mold even when he was boxing the doors off Donaire. It's a huge contrast even though both had success... when Golovkin comes up you don't think amatuer record etc. Up until now they are two different worlds, though with the new rules and pro system next Olympics its going to be very very interesting!
