To be fair SRR was a welterweight, probably the best ever so to be considered a middleweight great just shows you how great he was.
At this level of competition weight does not mean much, I have no doubt SSR would beat Roy Jones in 15 rounds in any weight, especially if you let Jones eat like SSR ate in 40-60's without any modern day steroids. There is simply no discussion here. On top of that, I think even SRL would beat Roy, because SRL was just slicker and mentally tougher, he would fool him
Robinson got beat 5 times at middleweight, Roy, Marvin, Monzon and maybe B Hop would have done the same.
You did not get my point. My point was they might have one time success, but SRR would adjust by the rematch and win any amount of fights afterwards

I got your point but did you get mine, he was not as great a middleweight as he was welterweight and he lost to inferior fighters so could adjust and win but not against the great fighters I mentioned.
