Given the opponent and situation, Kovalev really could only be seen in the negative? No? I thought he dominated the fight after a feel out 1st followed by Agnew climbing into a defensive cage and hoping he punched himself out. His jab was varied, when the guard was solid upstairs he opened to body. He smashed a overmatched but ballsy defensive minded foe.
Yeah I suppose that's true in a sense. He showed some kinks in that indestructible tag he seems to carry around though. Its hard not to dominate with a guy like that but I just found his performance a little flat.
I know what you're saying, Kovalev did what we expected but not in his usuall borderline spectular fashion.
It could be because Agnew has been training hard for a defensive fight.
We don't always need a Wilder walking through no names with defenses made of wet bread He showed adjustment and adaptability to a strong defense..and got 1,2 rounds more then usual. I just can't see a thing to rake him on.
