There was one round where he landed a very hard right hook over the top that served as a reality check for Pacquiao. Pacquiao was like, damn.. that thing can put me to sleep if it caught me square.

It's no secret that Floyd cared about most about his '0'. It's also no longer a secret that Pacquiao cared about his career in politics and as a preacher more than anything. I won't forgive Pacquiao until he gives back my $100 personally.
We know Pac struggles with counter punchers. His punch output goes down when facing defensive boxers. We know that Floyd is a defensive master class. It takes two to tango. If Floyd was as aggressive the way he said he was going to be pre fight then it would have been what you had expected and what most of us wanted. A fireworks display. It wasn't. Deep inside we all knew it was going to be a Floyd win fought within Floyd's tempo.

We just wanted Manny to do something he wasn't known to be doing before. It wasn't the Marquez KO that unhinged Pac about being aggressive and going all out against whatever style he's matched up with. It was evident even before he made it to the US limelight when he fought Nadel Hussein and Agapito Sanchez. He was fighting in spurts, going on prolonged defense and getting hit more than usual because of the defensive style he was faced with. I still think Manny was the Manny of old. If Marquez could neutralize his offense how much more can Floyd do? IMHO I'd say that both did try to make it a fight on their own terms and giving it their all. The better man won that night but I don't think it's fair to say one fighter gave up trying just because of the payday. It's more than that the $ for both these fighters.
