Corbyn is completely and utterly unelectable. Just because a bunch of lefties pay £3 to join the Labour party and vote for him doesn't mean he can get millions of people to vote for him in a general election.
These fucking idiots made the same mistake in 1982.
Michael Foot was the same kind of right on lefty leader and said he was amazed at the size of the crowds turning up to his meetings and rallies all over the country. He was convinced he was going to win a landslide. There was a landslide result all right.
On that note, pretty gutted today that Michael Foots memorial here in his home of Plymouth was defaced by EDL and BNP idiots with Swastikas and their acronyms. The Polish shops have had stuff written over them too. I know that the vast majority of Brexit voters are not of the same ilk but the bigots among us are crawling out from under the woodwork as though they think their small minded views have some how been endorsed by the majority. The Poles including my family (Polish and German Jews on one side and Romany.Irish and English Gypsies on the other) have been in the UK a long time before the EU and we will be here for a long time after.
I know what you are saying but I think you will be surprised by how many vote for the Loony left if a general election is called. Many people, including huge amounts of young people have had enough of the same old, same old, and will vote in protest even if their politics is more to the center. The tories have swung so far to the right that is the only way to redress some balance into public services and the society Thatcher damned by denying it. Don't get me wrong a lot of young people were apathetic and though wanting to remain in the EU did not bother to vote, and so they must accept their part in the decision going as it did. It might just be the wake up call they needed though. We will see.
