I've never understood one fighter blaming another for totally shutting down their offence because they were hugging etc.

Fighters normally don't blame the other..... fans do. But each time I watch Wlad-Povetkin (I really don't), the more I think the least Povetkin should've been allowed to do is knee Wlad in the groin. That would've solved that problem. If the ref's gonna be MIA, he should be MIA for both fighters.

To be fair to Haye when he fought Wlad he fell on his knees a lot to stop the clinching.
