Duran, Armstrong. Other guys like Gavilan and Napoles started in lower weight divisions than Mayweather started and although they weren't successful against the middleweight champ at least they had the balls to challenge themselves.

No he started about 140ish.
Manny Pac rise up the weights is far more impressive than Floyds.
Floyds rise in the weights is impressive, you have to think tho most of his big wins are against fighters that have also risen up through the weights
