Floyd Mayweather has hinted at a possible rematch with UFC star Conor McGregor.

The multiple world champion came out of retirement in 2017 for a fight against McGregor in Las Vegas, where he beat the Irishman in the boxing ring with a tenth round stoppage.

After McGregor stepped out of his natural environment to fight the Michigan-native, it now appears that Mayweather might do the same.

In what was obviously a paid promotion for Paddy Power, the 40-year-old says:

““2018. Floyd Money Mayweather. MMA. What are the odds?””

Equally, it seems almost as possible the whole thing is a shameless marketing gimmick, much in-keeping with the tone of the first fight.

McGregor hasn’t been in the octagon himself in over 13 months now, with his last appearance being against Eddie Alvarez in October 2016. Many UFC pundits had been seeing his next move as a deciding fight against Nate Diaz, with whom he had two much publicised meetings with in 2016.

It seems we must now wait to see if this total farce rears its ugly head once more.
