If this is true, it speaks volumes about the nature of boxing and its fans today. It is beyond sad that the buzz around this sham of a fight would approach any mega-fight, much less the build-up to the (disappointing) Floyd-Pac showdown. That build-up had reason to be, even if the fight was expired in terms of the peaks of both fighters. But it was still considered somewhat of an even fight going in, where each had an equal chance. Each was putting his legacy on the line... but sadly the fight itself disappointed.

Canelo-Crawford to me is more like Jake Paul vs Tank... Kareem Abdul Jabbar vs Bruce Lee... or Ali vs Andre the Giant.

The fact there's a buzz basically says that boxing has attracted zillions of casuals, who couldn't tell a real boxing classic if it reared up and smacked them in the face.

Marketing and promoting will make a spectacle of just about anything... and like the old saying goes: "There's sucker born every minute." I'm sure the odds will be ridiculously close by fight time. Then... after the inevitable win by Ginger... the hordes of casuals that looooovvvveeee Ginger will claim they've seen the best fight since Ali-Frazier I. (Well... actually, they won't. Because most of these casuals probably have no earthly idea who Frazier was).

I would predict a KO win by Ginger over the bloated Crawford... but Crawford will likely pull a Charlo, and make it a long, boring decision win for Ginger.
Aren't we a happy camper?
