Visulize the ring in this way, four sections, you holding centre.

Dont let his lateral movment undo you. If you move sideways withim, in theory you should drive him into the ropes.

If he slips past you at this point he should be in a different sector where you should then back off to ring centre(ish) and start again.

That's the right on the money, but it wouldn't be enough to catch me in the corner. And even if you could push me in a corner once, I'd just give you a hug and push you away.
