Haye did indeed show great finishing against Mormeck, but as I probably (hopefully) mentioned in that post, I do think that this will all come down to the Haye weight draining issue. Haye had to dig amazingly deep to bring out the big shots that finished Mormeck, and if this fight was at a catchweight, maybe 8-10 pounds above the cruiser limit, I have no doubt Haye would ko Maccarinelli. My belief is that against Braithewaite, Macca showed he can box and frustrate another big hitter, whilst wearing them down, and that's how I think this one will go. If Haye can find a way to take the weight off without too much pressure on his body and muscles, he might be able to take Macca out of his comfort zone early on, and keep him out, but I just don't see that happening.

So, in essence, what I'm trying to say is, right guy.....wrong weight. Haye's a much more natural heavyweight than Maccarinelli, and if they meet again amongst the fatboys in a few years time, I might have to look at Haye for the win.
