As for the it's only a dog comment.....if it were an Iraqi/Afghani solider people might be thinking in some way they deserved it, no way to be thought as justification but people would say it.

If they can't do their job they shouldn't be there. I might get flamed for this but do these particular incidents seem to come more from the US troops than any other country? I don't put it down to there's more of them overthere, I put it down to the whooping nutjobs who join up and the training they get.
