How this will match up with 2008's terminator, Miguel Cotto I'm not sure.

Margaito put on a fearsome display, taking monstrous shots, seemingly unaffected and plundering on to a huge victory.
(I'm very glad he beat Cintron.)

Cotto however showed something different for me. He showed boxing ability, as well as explosive power.

If and when they fight, I fully expect a thriller, but I do feel that Cotto, although smaller, shades a victory.

Two very entertaining fights.
I agree with you Donny. Whilst I agree Margarito looked like a monster I actually felt Cotto put on the better performance.

Cintron we always knew folds under pressure and I don't think his punching power is quite as good as people claim. Margarito took not even one 10th of the flush shots that Jesse Feliciano took, he was literally eating them up for 10 rounds and Cintron still couldn't put him down.

Although the Gomez fight was a mismatch Gomez has been able to hang with much bigger men than Cotto. I certainly didn't expect him to get blown away and beaten down as easily as Cotto did.

and it wasn't just power punching it was a perfect complete boxing performance. It reminded me a lot of Floyd's clinical dismantling of Sharmba Mitchell in his first fight at welter, just faster to the punch, more accurate, sharp stinging jabs.

It was a faultess performance against an overmatched but still game and solid opponent.

If/when they do get it on I'm expecting one hell of a fight.
