Why do americans hate Ricky Hatton ?

He always comes across as a likeable guy and he did have good wins over Tysu & Castillo. And in the run up to the Tysu fight he was awesome against the likes of Olivera, Phillips and Tackie. I know they're C Class fighters but Hatton is a lot better than some of the dross out there. His form has dipped since winning the world title due to his stupid lifestyle I will say that. If he was Mexican I bet he would be more popular in the states. Why all the hate ? Surely Mayorga, Judah are worse personalities to like.

Americans have no beef with hatton... I'm a fan. Course I was pissed when He beat Tysu and the way he did it... Still wished Tysu would have beat him up for the rough tactics but whatevs...
