He didn't look good against Hopkins but who does? When Calzaghe beats Pavlik I'm sure that we'll hear that Pavlik is actually a one-dimensional limited fighter.

I think Kelly Pavlik is much more dangerous than Jeff Lacy was. I had seen a few of Jeff Lacy's fights before the Joe Calzaghe fight, and he looked like an average fighter against Omar Sheika, Syd Vanderpool, and he had never faced an elite fighter like Kelly Pavlik has. If Joe Calzaghe beat Kelly Pavlik i would give him all the credit in the world.

But then there would be a NEW young guy Calzaghe MUST beat. That's what happens with older fighters, Ice, there's always a new kid on the block - currently Pavlik.. before him Kessler.. before him Lacy.. we only learned (accept for the majority) the TRUTH about these guys after Calzaghe smashed them

So true Fenster, people before the Kessler fight was made and Calzaghe was making noises about fighting the likes of Hopkins RJJ and Tarver people were slating him saying he is ducking Kessler he needs to fight him before anyone else, theres always going to be the new guy like you say. If he wins and beats Pavlik whats the odds this time next year it will be Calzaghe should be fighting Dawson blah blah blah.
