George Bush nearly pelted with shoes

Of course Bush, ignorant dipstick that he is, cracked some joke about shoe size. Probably he had no concept of the nature of the insult, or it's relevance to the Muslim faith. One would hope that if he did, he wouldn't have joked such.

.....oh get off it. I thought it was funny how he reacted.

yeah, it was good for a laugh. Any bozo could have come up with such a quip. Still it does pay for a world leader to be on top of such nuances.

Brings to mind a comment by Jean Chretien, our long time fearless leader, and a Liberal, in a meeting with middle east leaders...
