Whilst I agree that Shane was a shadow of his former self vs Mayorga we must remember that Shane was up against a big, mauling wild guy who was coming down from super middleweight . Shane instead of boxing stood his ground and knocked this guy clean out . Margarito when he moved up just afew pounds to light middle showed he couldnt handle the extra weight vs Dan Santos. Mosley wont be fearful of his strength, moreso his pace and pressure.

Should Shane win ( which I dont think he will ) then I reckon Floyd would take that fight cuz everyone knows Shane and that would sell big. My money would be on PBF on points . Prime for prime I go for Shane
How did he demonstrate that he couldn't handle the extra weight? While I agree Margarito is better at 147, he moved up and fought a very competitive fight against one of the best 154 lb'ers in the world. He hust Santos several times and many people felt he was winning, or on his way to winning, the fight when it was stopped. I think he proved he could handle 154, especially with the paucity of talent in that division when compared to 147; though it has improved dramatically recently.
Well he didnt posess the same authority against the bigger man IMO

Margarito is far more effective at welter where he normally towers over these guys and make them fight at his pace. He couldnt do that up at light middle. His style much like Hattons doesnt move up well. Its meant for smothering smaller men.
