Last year - might have been 2007 - Benn held a massive fundraiser for him, they flew McClellan over to London and everything

Yeah, I watched a video shot a few days before the event yesterday. They interviewed Benn and he was almost in tears over it all, it was obvious he feels extremely guilty and I'd imagine anyone else would aswell.

I then decided to dig up the fight on youtube and wow what a fight, although I don't think the first round should of been a TKO.. I mean, only 2 solid punches connected to Benn before he fell through the ropes and the rest of the round he did pretty well to avoid the rest of his flurries. But the ref was a bit of a cunt, almost always seeming to break the fight up to allow Benn to catch a swift breather.. never trust the french.

Take no notice of that crap. The ropes were stopping him from falling. Once he landed he got up with plenty of time.

A few years ago, before the fight was put on the net, certain people were seriously claiming Benn was given over 30 seconds to get back in the ring.. and the crowd were helping to carry him back

Thats one of the best fights of all time. Hands down. Its a crying shame that the tragedy overshadows it.

I see little wrong with the first round either, Benn was just about up okay.
